Boy: After having watch her first magic show back last year, girlfriend was telling me how amazing a magic show could be 'LIVE'. I've always been a fan of magic to be honest my entire life, up to a point
where I learn street magic on my own.
Back to talking about the show. 5 illusionists and I must say I wasn't hitting high expectations when I learnt about their names although they do look like magicians, somehow. Nevertheless, I'm excited about it because one can never tell how awesome magic is.
One bad thing about this show is that it's shown over at the Sands Theater. There's just something about the theater that I didn't like - the design, the seating, the lack of atmosphere, the distance from seats to the stage, the stage configuration, the lack of holders for us to put our drinks etc. Pardon for the whining but I really hate this theater. Alright, let's move on.
The whole shows was pretty much normal, as much as how the magicians or rather, the illusionists tried to entertain the audience. Some of the tricks/magic, were pretty much where we could see it over at youtube or on TV, except that it's 'LIVE' and it probably gives one an entirely difference experience.
There are 5 main 'masters' in the show, namely, 'The Escapologist', 'The Manipulator', 'The Grand Illusionist', 'The Mentalist' and lastly, 'The Anti-Conjurer'. Out of the 5, let's say I was the most impressed with the Mentalist, and even girlfriend agreed with me. Probably it is due to the fact that we hardly get to see such psychic acts anywhere. His skills were highly commendable.
On the overall, it's definitely worth the money, definitely much much better than Wicked in my own opinion. Thankfully, we caught the 2nd last show on that day as they have already ended their show on Sunday. Looking forward to the next magic show already.
