I guess loving one idol doesn't mean each and every single of his movie is going to be nice. Donnie Yen's recent movies indeed impressed me, but trust me when I say this movie failed to make the cut. Probably, he has run out of moves and ideas for his movies, other than those actions and stunts.
On the otherhand, Tang Lin was the one who impressed me, kind of make me feel that she has this charm to capture the audience. The whole movie revolve around solving a mystery which turned out rather dry, so dry, I dreaded during the movie. His '2 works a year' has to stop. As his idol, I don't mind waiting long for his work but as long as the work is going to be nice, if not, it would definitely be wiser not to rush.
